K.S. Institute of Technology (KSIT), an autonomous institution affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, has structured its examination system to ensure continuous and comprehensive assessment of student performance. After attaining autonomous status, the college established the Office of the Controller of Examinations (CoE) to oversee and manage all examination-related activities effectively.
Examinations at KSIT are conducted in two key components: Continuous Internal Evaluation (CIE) and Semester End Examination (SEE). The CIE is held throughout the semester and includes internal tests, assignments, lab work, presentations, and project evaluations. This system ensures that students are consistently assessed on their academic progress and understanding of the subject matter.
The SEE is conducted at the end of each semester and serves as a summative assessment. These exams are centrally coordinated by the CoE office in collaboration with all academic departments. Strict guidelines and processes are followed to maintain the fairness and integrity of the examination process.
The Controller of Examinations plays a vital role in maintaining the quality and transparency of the evaluation system. From scheduling exams to processing results, the CoE office ensures timely and accurate execution of all examination activities, helping KSIT uphold academic excellence in line with industry and educational standards.
