This course will
provide a basic understanding of flow measurements using various types of flow measuring devices,
calibration and losses associated with these devices. Energy conversion principles,
analysis and understanding of hydraulic turbines and pumps will be discussed.
Application of these concepts for these machines will be demonstrated. Performance analysis will
be carried out using characteristic curves.

preparation of samples to perform characterization such as microstructure, volume fraction
of phases and grain size. To understand mechanical

HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER LAB
Ability to understand and solve

To provide an insight into
different forging tools and equipments To provide training to

The fabricated and finished buggy was unveiled on 28th February 2019 at around 10:00 a.m. near the mechanical department at K S INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, which was done with permission of respected management members, Dr. T.V. Govindaraju, Principal/Director, KSIT, Dr. Rama Narasimha, Professor and Head, and all other department heads and our beloved teachers were also present in the event

We are proud to announce that the team Redline Racers secured First place in the Design Evaluation of the BAJA SAE-INDIA 2019 competition held from 6th to 11th March, 2019 at IIT Ropar, Punjab organized by Mahindra in association with SAE INDIA.
SUCCESS IS A JOURNEY NOT A DESTINATION My journey to achieve in my dreams began 3 years back at KSIT and I can proudly say that When I join KSIT through lateral entry I was a bit tensed and excited to start my engineering career, but the support of my HOD, my teachers and non teaching staff motivated me to learn and achieve more. The most memorable moments are the last minute studies, last minute submission,bunking classes, hanging out with friends, there all memories made my journey more fun. Today when I look back I am glad that choosed KSIT and thank every person who took part in success of my engineering career. When a layman walks on street, I can only say Oh! What a car, Oh!
What a building, Oh! What a plane.But only an engineer can say I can make it better.
Change is an essential part of life, I am proud to say that my four years at KSIT resulted in a positive change in myself. The encouragement from my Lecturers and my seniors is something that helped me involve myself both in academic as well as cultural events. I thank Dr. K Rama Narasimha, Prof. Umashankar M and Prof. Balaji B for instilling leadership qualities in me. I am student who can proudly say that I got myself a new family by involving myself in team events such as EMANATION and the college fest Ananya. I tried to pass on the encouragement to my juniors that i received from my seniors.The memory of Bunking, last minute submission of assignments, falling in love, fights with friends, the
attempts to copy in internals brings a smile on my face.The thought of missing all these wipes that smile way. I will miss my college life and I will miss my ROYAL DEPARTMENT OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING , a department where lecturers acts as parents, Guide , and more importantly

It's my pleasure to share my 4 years of experience in this college. My happiest face is life were am I engineering college days. There are several moments we have spent together having fun, teasing each other, sharing food, birthday celebration, long drives and many more.
